Week 3 & 4 Mini Challenge:Increase your Cardio

As you all may or may not know, cardio is an extremely important factor in weight loss. Cardio assists in overall body health including burning calories, increasing lung capacity, strengthening the heart, releasing endorphins which makes you feel good, relieving stress and much more. The body is a very well operated machine that can adapt to change well. For this reason, people tend to plateau when coming within their weight loss goal range. It is important to constantly challenge your body to get the results you desire.

 So this week we challenge you all to increase and expand your cardio workouts. The bikini body challenge rules requires a minimum of five workouts per week. If you have not been doing so, its time to step it up.  The challenge is to use 5 different forms of cardio machines this week for a minimum of 30 minutes. There are a wide variety of cardio machines at the gym, so do not limit yourself. If you do not have access to a gym, there are many different avenues you can take to accomplish this challenge; e.g. running, walking, swimming, hiking, biking, zumba, yoga, and many more just be creative! Also if you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch download the nike training club application. This application has over 85 different workouts including cardio exercises so there are no excuses. We are already three weeks into the challenge. Less talking more walking. #TeamLean
