Onyi's top 5 hair tools

Having natural hair is only as good as the tools that you use to detangle and style your tresses! I'm going to go through my top 5 hair tools that I feel  are essential for every curly girl and why they are so important.

1. Jilbere Shower Comb
I absolutely love this comb. It is a seamless wide tooth comb with a hook on the end so it can be easily accessible in the shower. It makes detangling my hair so easy and it doesn't pull at my strands. I feel that this is definitely something that should be kept in a naturalista's arsenal of hair tools.

2. Spray bottles
Empty spray bottles can come in handy for a variety of reasons. I use them to spritz my hair with a mixture of water, conditioner and oils at night, or I use it to dilute my hair wash or shampoo to wash my hair. They can also be used to just refresh your hair on a daily basis. Either way you use it they are definitely necessary and come in handy.

3. Modified Denman brush
I absolutely love my Denman brush! I use it to detangle (after pre-detangling with my shower comb) and to smooth my hair before twisting it up and it makes my twistouts come out way more defined and less frizzy. If you look at the picture it appears as if some bristles are missing but they are not. Some naturals prefer to remove every other row of bristles to prevent excess hair from being pulled out from the scalp. So that is why I refer to it as "modified". There are also "knock off" versions of the denman brush that can be found at CVS, Target, Walgreens and other drug stores.

4. Large clips
As your natural hair starts to get longer I feel it is necessary to wash your hair in sections to prevent unnecessary tangling. I love these clips to separate your hair into sections so that it makes styling easier! These clips can be found at most beauty supply stores and even some drug stores.

5. Bobby (hair) Pins
Bobby pins are absolutely essential to style your hair. I love these for updo's, pinning my hair back and many other things. I don't think I could survive without these! These can be found at any drug store or beauty supply store. Be sure to purchase the ones with the balls on the ends to prevent snagging your hair!

These are my top 5 hair tools that I always have in my stash no matter what. What are your top 5 hair tools? What items do you think should have made the list? Thanks for reading dolls! :)
