Mixtress: Rose Water Green Tea Facial Toner

The most important step in a skin care routine is applying a facial toner, most importantly are the ingredients with in them. While commercial products are full of drying alcohols and unknown agents, this recipe contains all natural ingredients that will benefit both the skin as well as its radiant glow.

What you will need:
1 green tea bag (with brown rice (optional))
Rose Water
Witch Hazel (alcohol free)
4oz. to 8oz. spray bottle
Lavender oil

Green tea is high in the antioxidant catechin, which helps fight and stabilize free radicals. Green tea also has anti-inflammatory properties that soothe and brighten the skin.

Rice water helps improve skin complexion by firming and toning the skin and reducing pore size.

Witch hazel (alcohol free) is a natural astringent with anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative properties. Witch hazel is available commercially (with alcohol) but its alcohol content tampers with its true astringent properties. This is why it is important to use alcohol free witch hazel that can be found at from nature with love.

Lavender oil stimulates circulation of blood, allowing the skin to breathe and radiate.  

Rose water is the product of rose distillate. It is a humectant and balances the skin by regulating sebum production. Rose water also has antibacterial properties which is ideal for acne prevention.

 Steep green tea bag for 15 minutes and allow it to cool. Once cooled, add one part green tea, one part rose water and two parts witch hazel to spray bottle. Add 5 to 10 drops of lavender oil. Shake well and spray to a freshly cleansed face. Follow up with moisturizer.
